I don’t know about you, but my summer positively flew by. I met the lovely Wilgus family back in May via a mutual friend. We were hosted by Claire’s mom, Jeanne, and discussed Claire’s upcoming wedding over a glass of sangria in their gorgeous Dallas home. Now Claire & Joseph are married and I am so excited I get to share Claire’s Dallas bridal portrait session!
We photographed Claire’s bridals at her reception venue, Gilley’s Dallas. The open loft area with high ceilings, full of gorgeous light, provided the perfect indoor location for a Dallas bridal portrait session with an urban feel. Claire’s wedding colors included a soft blue so I loved how the walls in the loft matched her bridal details. But honestly, my favorite feature about that location was that we could avoid the Texas heat!
Claire’s big sister crafted this bouquet especially for her portraits. How sweet! I love including the special details in a bridal session so my brides can remember these exciting moments. Most brides use this time to see how their wedding day outfit will come together. It’s even more exciting to see the complete bridal style!
I also have to share how much I enjoyed working with Susie. She is a hair and makeup artist available for weddings in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Here is her page: Susie Gray Uphues Makeup Artist
I always recommend hiring a professional HMUA for your bridal portrait session. This is a great practice run for the wedding day! You get to feel pampered and gorgeous while getting your hair and makeup done, plus you can take advantage of the opportunity to try out your wedding day style.
